WHAT IS THE CERTIFICATE IN MODERN MUSIC?

The Certificate in Modern Music programme offers training in skill and character for artists who wish to obtain entry-level training in the field of contemporary music in the church or music industry. The curriculum is designed to give the student a music knowledge base, vocational experience and spiritual growth needed to succeed as musicians in the church and music industry.

There are seven specific emphases available:

• Instrumental performance (Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards)
• Vocal performance
• Worship leadership
• Songwriting

WHAT'S INVOLVED?

The certificate in Modern Music mode of learning is online with guided weekly assignments and allows you to stay in your current location. Your coursework will be distributed on a 7 week schedule, with assignments having specific deadlines, but the rest is up to you in your local spiritual community!

This programme is perfect for those with a full-time job, or who are unable to relocate to UCB's Kingdom Academy in Staffordshire.

We want you to have every opportunity to grow in your passion with the best instruction possible in a format that fits into your current rhythm of life.

Applicants need to have:

• Played guitar/bass/drums or keys for a minimum of 6 months for these emphases.
• Been involved in Worship Leadership or Songwriting, plus have played guitar or keys for a minimum of 6 months for these emphases.
• Access to at least one other musician in order to practice band skills.

Upon completion, the student will:

• Be prepared for musical service in the church and the music industry.
• be prepared for success in both live and studio environment.

COSTS

Start either September 2024 or January 2025 for an introductory offer of £2,500 hosted by UCB Kingdom Academy in partnership with Visible Music College, Memphis, Tennessee, USA (Certificate accreditation by TRACS in the USA).
